But Chandler has found redemption thanks to a wave of online support for her demo recently submitted as part of the "Can You Sing Contest" hosted by Gotademo.com, an online launchpad for emerging talent.
Chandler, who finished first with Atlanta's Tina Shaw, was one of 48 artists representing six different cities who entered the competition. More than 52,000 visitors flooded Gotademo.com to take the place of Simon, Paula and Randy by casting nearly 28,000 votes. After narrowing the field to 10 finalists, Chandler and Shaw emerged as the winners.
Third place went to Jamal Harding, also of Atlanta. Visit www.gotademo.com to view video of each winning demo and for details concerning upcoming contests.
