Blender Magazine calls the track a "spunky, climate-controlled kiss-off," and Entertainment Weekly agrees, "It's damn fun." A video is scheduled for a Los Angeles shoot late in August, with official release to radio early in September. Perry will make the premiere live television performance of "Hot N Cold" on NBC's Today show outdoor concert series.

Since the release of "I Kissed a Girl" and ONE OF THE BOYS, which debuted at No. 9 on Billboard's Top 200 album sales chart in America, the album continues to bullet in the Top 15. Nominated for Best Female Video and Best New Artist in the MTV Video Music Awards 2008, "I Kissed a Girl," directed by Kinga Burza, has topped the TRL chart since June 24th, just twelve days after Perry's live premiere, and the video is now on view in every major music video outlet worldwide.
