In England alone, the Killers Brandon Flowers told Billboard.com last week, We have a lot of B-sides that people in America would never know about because we dont have singles here. So we have about 15 of these songs that people have never heard, and we wanted to stick them on something for people to get to have them all together.
The website went on to mention a handful of titles: All the Pretty Faces (which was the B-side of When You Were Young); two movie soundtrack tunes, Shadowplay (a Joy Division cover, from Control, Anton Corbijns biopic of Ian Curtis) and Move Away (from Spiderman 3); as well as a cover of Kenny Rogers & the First Editions Ruby, Dont Take Your Love to Town (written by Mel Tillis).
The collection will also contain songs which werent complete for Sams Town. The Killers recently went back into the studio to finish the tracks. They will also record a second Christmas single for the RED Campaign, Dont Shoot Me Santa, expected for December 1st release. It follows up last years A Great Big Sled, which raised over $100,000 for the RED Campaign.
