NME.COM reports that that "the show will be held at O2, possibly on November 26, and is a charity gig being organized by legendary promoter Harvey Goldsmith." The band split when drummer John Bonham passed away and according to Dot Music it has been John Paul Jones that has held back on reformations under the Led Zeppelin name in the past.
They report: "Bass player John Paul Jones retained a twenty five percent ownership of the name and up until now has refused to let the band reform. The other quarter is owned by drummer John Bonham's son, Jason and all four will make up the band."
Of note is that the band has a new compilation and DVD coming out in November so this press conference may have something to do with that. Right now everything swirling around this story is rumor, so we should have a confirmation or refutation today at the press conference.
