Frank Zappa Strasse, formerly Street 13, lies in an industrial area in the eastern part of the city that was once behind the Iron Curtain. The street is home to Orwo Haus, a former Communist-era film factory that now provides practice studios for more than 160 bands, according to AP.
Bands from the studio worked for two years to make Frank Zappa Strasse a reality and marked the renaming this past weekend with an all-night concert that was attended by close to 3,000 fans.
