The announcement came during a stop on the current Poison/Ratt tour when the two bands along with Dokken and Great White rocked 8,000 Iowans for 5 hours Saturday night at the Iowa Speedway. During the concert announcers from local radio station 95 KGGO told concert goers that AC/DC will be hitting the town the next year.
Mike Beecher, Iowa Speedway director of media relations would not confirm those plans with Newton Daily News. He told the paper, "The AC/DC was apparently handled by the promoters. We do not have anything scheduled as of yet."
