(antiMusic) She's more than a little bit country and he's definitely a little bit rock n' roll. We're talking about multi Grammy award winning bluegrass goddess Alison Krauss and Led Zeppelin legend Robert Plant who announced late last week that they have collaborated on a new album called "Raising Sand".

The new album is set to hit stores on October 23rd via Rounder Records and is produced by another music legend, T Bone Burnett. Almost as impressive is the roster of songwriters on the disc which includes Tom Waits, Townes Van Zandt, Gene Clark, Doc Watson, Little Milton Campbell, Phil and Don Everly and Mel Tillis.

While Plant is definitely a rock legend, Krauss is legend in her own right holding the record for the most Grammys won by a female artist at 20 awards. She previously worked with Burnett on the "O Brother, Where Art Thou" soundtrack.
