(PR) A recently widely-circulated surreal video clip from the daytime TV show "All My Children" curiously name-drops Ipecac Records founder and Fantomas/Peeping Tom vocalist extraordinaire Mike Patton -- but neglects to mention Otto Von Schirach! Patton hand-picked and sequenced his own mix for the Miami based IDM composer, Von Schirach, resulting in the critically-revered album Maxipad Detention released this September on Ipecac. The video clip that caught fire on YouTube in September -- circulating faster than you can say "fat kid with a light-saber" -- was culled from a bizarre scene on "All My Children" in which a pair of marketing executives attempt to connect with an unimpressed and abrasive alternative artist by mentioning Mike Patton and his bands Faith No More and Tomahawk. The artist perks up at the mention of the singer's name, absurdly sneering, "you've been reading my blog!"

In Early 2005, Von Schirach sent Mike Patton (co-owner of Ipecac Recordings and Fantomas, Mr. Bungle front man) a 38-song CDR. Patton hand-picked and sequenced in his own mix, which is now Maxipad Detention an 18-track journey into gore-filled Gabber Bass Drums from beyond. After eight albums, 10,000 shows, a 4GB Sound Library and seven destroyed computers, what else is there to say? Von Schirach is currently working on a bunch of new collaborations with Venetian Snares, Doormouse, Gut, Ebola, Gouch and is also in the studio working on new ideas for the next Skinny Puppy record.
