.
(antiMUSIC) Fans hoping to get their hands on the Metallica "Vinyl Box" next Tuesday(10/26) are going to have to wait a little longer. The band broke the bad news to fans via their official website last Friday (10/15) that "Due to manufacturing delays, the release of the vinyl box set has been postponed until November 23."

Fan club members will not have to wait quite as long. The announcement stated, "if you are a Fan Club member and ordered through the Met Club website, your order will begin shipping to you the week of November 8th!!"

Here is the official announcement for the Vinyl Box including all the details:  A new, limited edition vinyl box set will be available on November 23, including the first four albums, Kill 'Em All, Ride The Lightning, Master Of Puppets, and ...And Justice For All. PLUS the legendary $5.98 Garage Days Re-Revisited EP, and the Creeping Death picture disc, which was previously only available in Europe!

Each of the four albums have been expanded to 2 LPs with new gatefold jackets. With the exception of the picture disc, all albums have been pressed on 180-gram HQ heavy vinyl, with lacquers cut at Sterling Sound by George Marino.

The box set will be released in North America only and will be limited to 5,000 copies, with each set numbered. Suggested Retail price is $99.98.
