Usher was the king of the night with three wins in the Favorite Male Soul-R&B Artist, Best Soul-R&B Album and Best Pop-Rock album categories. Outkast took home two awards for Favorite Pop-Rock Band and Best Rap-Hip-Hop group.
Some were surprised when Sheryl Crow walked away with Favorite Female Artist - Pop or Rock. Crow also won the award for Favorite Artist - Adult Contemporary Music. Linkin Park won the Favorite Artist - Alternative Music award for the second year in a row and Bon Jovi was honored with the Award of Merit.
