"I'm going to be really unpopular for saying this about Harry, but I've always had the suspicion - with everything that's going on - that he might die," Radcliffe said during a press conference promoting the film. 

Radcliffe then alluded that death to Potter was the only way he could see the series rivalry between the young wizard and evil wizard Lord Voldemort concluded, �Harry and Voldemort have the same core in them, we get to see that in the fourth film.

 �The only way Voldemort could die is if Harry dies as well.�

That is purely speculation on Radcliffe�s part, as author J K Rowling is keeping a tight lip on how she plans to end the series. She has yet to write the final two editions in the seven-volume series. 

However, Rowling has left the door open to the fact that Potter may meet an untimely end. Scotsman.com reports that in a previous interview, when questioned whether she would write about the character as an adult, Rowling responded, �You have to wait and see whether he survives to be a grown-up.�

The possible good news for Radcliffe, which came out before he predicted Harry�s death, is that he is might remain cast in the role of Potter for future films. There was a rumbling earlier this week that he and the rest of the young cast, were not quite young enough to continue playing the roles, when the series producer David Heyman reportedly said, �There will come a point when one, two, or all three of them will move on. I don't know when that will be � with the fifth, sixth or seventh movies � but it's inevitable.". 

The three lead actors, Radcliff, Emma Watson (Hermione Granger), and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) are now 14. The director of the current Potter film, Alfonso Cuaron, spoke with Reuters earlier this week about the speculation that the lead characters would likely be recast for the final installments in the series. He said he was hopeful that the same actors would remain. 

"Right now they're doing No. 4. There's only three more to go. I just hope they  keep the same cast for the whole thing," he said.

"So far, they're holding up very good, the way that they are aging. I don't think Dan is going to get way much taller or suddenly grow another eye. Same with Emma, and Rupert is OK. Let's hope. In the last one they're supposed to be 17. Say they're 19, I think they're going to be very good. That would be very special."
