Last weeks top album, American Life by Madonna took a nosedive to land at No. 8 this week. But it was American Idol that ruled the charts this week. The cast album from the current season contestants, American Idol Season Two: All Time Classic American Love Songs and the debut album from the winner of the first season Kelly Clarkson claim the second and third spot on the charts.
Cher remained strong this week coming in at No. 4 for her greatest hits compilation The Very Best of Cher and Norah Jones rounded out the top 5.
Despite the controversial move by their record company of pulling their debut album out of Christian stores, Evanescences Fallen made a strong showing last week landing at No 6, beating out Linkin Park.
Newcomer Kelly Price and the soundtrack
to Disneys The Lizzie McGuire Movie round out the top 10.
