The self-titled CD from the group Youth Gone Mad featuring Dee Dee Ramone was released by trend is dead! Records last Tuesday (Feb 11th).
The CD is a digitally remastered version of a previously released vinyl picture disc. According to trend is dead! records , This album was meant to coincide with Dee Dee's budding art career and give a boost to his fellow NY punks, Youth Gone Mad (a cause both Dee Dee and Joey Ramone had taken up before), but ended up containing Dee Dee's final studio recordings. 15 eclectic tracks of raw and zany, high-energy tunes mixed with classic punk rock song structures.
Dee Dee Ramone was found dead in his Los Angeles home on June 5, 2002. At the time he was about to undertake an exhibit to showcase his original artwork.
The European version of this disc was released in December by Wanker Records in Germany.
