Springsteen was far and away the leader. Bruce Springsteen & The E. St. Band brought in $115.9 million dollars in 2003 with an average per concert gross of $3.9 million. Springsteen managed to pack the crowds in and sold over 1.6 million concert tickets in 2003 with an average price of $71.36 per ticket.
It was the crowds that gave Springsteen the edge. Despite having the second lowest average ticket price in the Top 10, Springsteen was by far the leaders in the amount of tickets sold per concert with an average of 54 thousand tickets sold at 47 concerts in 30 cities.
Las Vegas seemed to agree with Celine Dion as she landed at No. 2 on the list by grossing $80.5 million for 145 concerts with an average ticket price of $135.81.
Veteran artists dominated the remainder of the Top 20.
