Classic Albums remastered, reissued and revisited
CIA - Attitude
Screaming Ferret Wreckords have re-released the rare solo album of Glenn Evans (of Nuclear Assault and TT Quick fame) under the moniker CIA. The album itself was released in limited capacity back in 1992, and with Nuclear Assaults 2005 release drawing near Screaming Ferret have decided give Evans the exposure his album deserves. The album was a side project of Glenns in the early 90s. All songs were written and performed by Evans except for a handful of lead lines, in which case DiPietro (TT Quick and briefly Nuclear Assault) and original Nuclear Assault guitarist Anthony Bramante lend a hand. The music itself leans towards punk/hardcore influenced thrash metal which can sometimes be melodic, but still very much focused on speed. Evans drumming and songwriting ability are the strongpoint of the album, complemented by great lead lines, stylish thrash riffs and intelligent lyrical content concerning politics, society and destruction. The album is able to encompass the aggression and speed of Nuclear Assault with Glenns own vast technical ability. Glenn elaborates on his drive behind the album; The CIA Attitude album was recorded in a period of my life when things were beginning to fall apartmy marriage, Nuclear Assault, and life in general. Everyone has those periods in their life at one time or another. I had a lot of emotions flowing through me and the easiest way to get them out was through music. I was proud of it then, and Im proud of it now. (The album) never really had a proper release, and this time around it will. And thanks to Screaming Ferret pepping
up the production a bit, the album is given a more powerful modern edge
than most of the poorly produced thrash era albums. From the stylish thrash-jig
of Sword Democles to the relentless Land Of Gloom And Doom, this album
is sure to content Nuclear Assault, thrash and even post-thrash fans.
