From beginning to end "Advance and Vanquish" is one of the best albums I have heard in a while. Breathing new life into the all but forgotten classic metal style, think Iron Maiden with that new car scent.

After listening to this album I almost dug out my gigantic box of metal cassettes, partly responsible for their sound are the seasoned pros in the studio from the producer (who
worked with Judas Priest) to the engineers (who worked with Cannibal Copse), to even the album cover artist (see the axe wielding warrior on the cover who bares a resemblance to those on the covers of Maiden and Megadeth albums).

With killer stories of pirates, sword fights, cyborg battles, and even a song about killing orcs ( a total geek bonus for me) you are taken on a violent journey, and who could resist that? Vocals that, once again, remind you of Maiden but with high notes that relate more to Cradle of Filth's Dani Filth. Shredding guitars with crazy leads, and amazing drumming. This is classic metal with a new face and even the fans of the growling, screaming, 'what are they saying?' music (like myself) can get into this one.

For what it's worth I couldn't sit still while listening and I can't wait to see these guys live. I would most definitely spend my money on this album because you don't hear music like this that much anymore. And anybody that was ever a fan of Maiden, Priest, Megadeth, W.A.S.P., or any of the like will undoubtedly love this album.
