While the Beastie Boys were performing, a group of around 30 masked "anarchists" armed with CS gas, iron bars and baseball bats descended on the stadium, burning cars and forcing fans and artists to evacuate.
Underworld's Rick Smith and several others were seriously injured. Smith was briefly hospitalized in Athens before returning to the UK for further treatment. No word yet as to whether the incident will effect their tour schedule for the rest of the summer.[see full story for more]
