(punkbands) James Morrison, 25, was killed following an altercation at a hardcore show in Asbury Park, NJ this past weekend. According to the Asbury Park Press, there was an argument and a fight, "which at some juncture, proceeded outside," said First Assistant Monmouth County Prosecutor Peter Warshaw. "The exact role that Mr. Morrison played in any of this remains under investigation," said Warshaw. "Police are still working to piece together precisely what happened." Warshaw also said the death did not seem gang related.

Morrison's mother talked to her son's friends and told the paper, "They were sitting at the bar and had a couple of drinks. There was something where guys were arguing and, out of the blue, one guy threw a bar stool at my son and hit him in the head." She said her son was struck by a stool a second time, this time in the side of his body. Lorrie Morrison said her son and his friends were asked to leave the club, and her son was dazed, so his friends helped him out. "Out of the blue someone came from behind . . . and hit him in the head," she said. His friends heard a loud crack, and her son fell to the ground.[see full story for more] - Click here for the Full Story
