. (Gigwise) Outkast star Andre 3000 has landed in hot water after telling a magazine that he'd like to buy a gun for his 9-year-old son. The rapper - real name Andre Benjamin - said that his son Steven should carry a gun in future due to the heat of everyday life.

He's quoted as saying: "I would want my son to carry a gun when he gets older. It's just something you have got to have if you want to be safe." But anti-gun campaigners have reacted angrily to the comments, saying that a man in his position should not support carrying guns.
