Master P (aka Percy Miller) was not present in court and had his lawyer do the talking for him. In exchange for his no contest plea, the felony weapons charge he faced was reduced to a misdemeanor, he was sentenced to one day in jail (which he won't have to do because he has credit for time served), ordered to pay a fine of $720 and will have to serve 40 hours of community service either with Hurricane Katrina relief efforts or speaking to high school students about the danger of guns. The judge gave the 'Dancing With the Stars' contestant 90 days to complete these requirements.
His brother -- whose real name Vyshonn Miller -- was not so lucky. His charge was not reduced -- he pleaded no contest to the felony and was placed on three years felony probation. He was also ordered to pay a fine and serve the same community service as his brother.
