there are no circumstances in which Bono would be nominated or accept the
World Bank job," said Jamie Drummond, executive director of DATA -- or

The group also has begun sifting through material for a prospective live CD/DVD. "We're trying to find a show that has been recorded from beginning to end," Perry said. "That's something the fans have been requesting: a stone cold live record with a video."
"Some of the shows we're looking at are from the last year, but who knows," the guitarist continued. "We just heard about somebody who had a bunch of tapes from 1972. It might be fun to watch some of that on the B-side." [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Oliveri's QOTSA Offer |
The bass player was sacked from the group in February last year, after singer Josh Homme claimed that his close friend's behaviour had started to drive the pair apart, describing the bassist as "a tornado".
However, Oliveri has revealed that the pair are speaking again and that he has offered his services to the band.
He said: "I told him last time I was hanging out with him, 'If anything falls through and you need somebody, you know where your bass player is, dude -- you know where the bass player for that band is. So pick up the phone.'"
"It ain't about a money gig thing for me
- I know which band I play bass in," he told Billboard. [see full story

Dishwalla Next Week |
The fivesome - singer/songwriter J.R. Richards,
guitarist Rodney Cravens, bassist Scot Alexander, keyboardist Jim Wood
and drummer Pete Maloney, teamed up with a diverse trio of rock producers,
zigzagging across California and Arizona for the intense recording sessions.
The collection of songs is about life, love, loss and survival. On the
decision to work with three producers on the project, Richards comments,
"We love touring and wanted to try and capture the raw energy of our live
shows and just rock on this record. Handing over the reigns to Bill, Sylvia
and Ryan, inspired and challenged us everyday we were in the studio, and
I believe helped create a really fresh and exciting sound." [see full story
