Ozzy Vs Fan
antiMusic reports: Ozzy Osbourne's apparent attempt to thwart one lawsuit has brought about another one. An Illinois man is suing Osbourne's record label, Epic, over the "remastered" versions of his first two studio albums "Blizzard of Ozz" and "Diary of a Madman".

Anthony Wester filed suit last week in Cook County Circuit Court, according to the Chicago Sun Times. Wester is seeking compensation for himself and anyone else that purchased copies of the two remastered albums, claiming he was duped into buying a remaster of the original recordings only to discover that the albums had been altered by the replacement of the bass and drum tracks

Epic issued the new versions of the album in April of 2002 as "remastered" editions; however they failed to mention on the cover that the bass tracks of Bob Daisley and drum tracks of Lee Kerslake had been removed and rerecorded by Ozzy's then drummer and bass player, Robert Trujillo and Mike Bordin. J.Ho?
Contact Music reports: Pop superstar CHER has attacked younger chart rivals BRITNEY SPEARS and JENNIFER LOPEZ, labeling them "hoes".

The singer lashed out during a concert in Auckland, New Zealand, during the Australasian leg of her farewell tour.

Cher explained her decision to quit touring to the 20,000 fans, saying "I'm not going to give up show business, but there are new girls coming up like Britney and J.Lo."

But when the crowd booed, the superstar turned on her contemporaries, snapping "I know. They are hoes, aren't they?" [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Sir Paul's Veggie Cruisade
Contact Music reports: Rock legend SIR PAUL McCARTNEY has lashed out at new research that claims a vegetarian lifestyle is unhealthy for children - claiming figures are fixed by people in the meat trade.

An American study says nutrients found in meat and dairy products help build muscle and enhance intelligence in the first few years of a child's life.

But McCartney - who has been a vegetarian for 20 years and whose late wife Linda launched her own range of meat-free food - so strongly disagrees, he called a BBC radio programme to lodge his complaint. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

100K Raised With AIC Reunion
Day in Rock reports: 96.5 K-Rock's Morning personality, Andy Savage posted a recap of Saturday Night's K-Rock Tsunami Continued Care Relief Concert on his website. The Seattle event brought in over $100,000 dollars for those affected by the Tsunami in Southeast Asia.

Here is a re-cap of the re-cap. See the full story for a lot more, plus photos!

[Alice in Chains] came up to do an acoustic set with a little help from their friends (including Chris DeGarmo formerly of Queensryche on rhythm guitar). This was the moment where we were all blown away by the vocals of Pat Lachman (of Damageplan)it was a set where I think everyone had goose bumpsPats vocals were so right on & such an amazing tribute to the songs that Layne once sang on. They started the set with "Killer Is Me"then Ann Wilson of Heart came out and sang "Brother" & then it was all Pat as he delivered mind blowing renditions of "No Excuses," "Heaven Beside You," "Got Me Wrong," and the highlight of the acoustic set had to have been them doing "Down In A Hole."

[see full story to read what happened next]

then Alice In Chains came back out & put on a "plugged" in set that left everyone speechless. Once the opening chords of "It Ain't Like That" started we knew that this was going to be insanePat Lachman once again did a tremendous job singingit would be a shame if these guys didn't reform and recruit Pat to sing with them! Jerry Cantrell then introduced a surprise guest in Puddle of Mudd's Wes Scantlin to duet with Pat on "Again." Wes took over the vocals for "Angry Chair" & "Would?"granted he messed up a couple of the lyrics, but his energy on stage made up for that ten-fold. The big surprise came next when Maynard James Keenan of Tool & A Perfect Circle jumped up on stage and the band broke into a version of "Them Bones" that was jaw dropping!!!!! It only got more intense as soon as those opening hits for "Man In The Box" startedI felt shivers down my spine when Maynard sang the chorusit was unreal! Alice In Chains then brought out all the people who sang with them (Wes, Pat, Maynard, and Ann) to close the night with "Rooster." Pat & Maynard traded vocals on the majority of the song while Krist Noveselic of Nirvana helped Sean Kinney out on drums. As cheesy as this soundsI am sure Layne was looking down on the guys with pride after Friday night's performance.

Station Fire Allegations
BW&BK reports: State prosecutors assert that in an attempt to dampen noise inside The Station nightclub, the owners installed wood-fiber material that "contained a visible and explicit warning about flammability," some of it as backing for the highly flammable polyurethane foam on the ceiling of the club.

The revelation that Jeffrey A. and Michael A. Derderian allegedly "purchased and improperly installed and/or caused to be installed" a second flammable substance in their nightclub was contained in newly filed court papers submitted by prosecutors. The new court filing is a response to the defendants' request for particularized information on the state's involuntary-manslaughter case.

The Derderians and Daniel M. Biechele -- the former tour manager for the rock band GREAT WHITE who ignited the pyrotechnics inside The Station that set the foam ablaze - each face 200 counts of involuntary manslaughter for the deaths of 100 people at a concert the night of Feb. 20, 2003. All three men have pleaded not guilty.

The defendants stand indicted under two theories of involuntary manslaughter: misdemeanor manslaughter and criminal negligence. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Here is Navarro's new posting: OK. Here's the deal. When Blink pulled out of the show, we were told that they had broken up. It made sense to us because it was an important show for an important cause. You're right. I shouldn't repeat things that aren't confirmed and I apologize to the band and their fans. Honestly, it was a mistake. I am glad to hear that the news is untrue. - Click Here for the Full Story
