Limp Rumor: Wes Back in Bizkit?
RIFTrock reports: According to a post
by Fred Durst on the Limp Bizkit message board. This info has yet to be
confirmed, but apparently the username is Fred's:
"Hey guys, it's Fred. Just wanted to let you guys know that WES is back in the family and we're so glad to have him back!!! on that note we've learned that we needed a bit of a change and that will show up on our new cd. Limp Bizkit will now be known only as 'Limp'. we feel that the name change is the first step to you guys getting used to our newer sound. This time around keep your ears open for brutal breakdowns and more screaming. The rap will be non-existant now and the change is refreshing. I can't wait to start recording these songs so you guys can hear them! Love all-Fred" - Click Here for the Full Story
Scratching head: This doesn't appear to be legit on first glance. Fred usually posts in the news section of the site and as anyone that has read his ramblings, he is not fond of capitalization. Take this one with a pound of salt, it may very well end up being a fan screwing around. But then again, Fred promised big news soon. So who knows?

I will be doing this next year."

A Little Wait for New Tom
Waits
Pitchfork reports: The forthcoming new
album from Tom Waits, Real Gone, now has a release date: October 4th. But
watch out, Rahzel! According to the folks at Waits' label, Anti, the record
will replace the legendary songwriter's piano with his own brand of vocal
percussion. Oh, sweet Jesus.
But don't fret, lovers of actual music-- as we reported in April, a whole bevy of instrument spankers are on board: guitarist Mark Ribot will be collaborating for the first time since 1985's Rain Dogs; Larry Taylor, a veteran of several Waits recordings, will be on bass and guitar, Brain Manita (Primus, Buckethead, the most recent Guns 'N' Roses tour) will man the drums, Waits' son Casey X will handle percussion and turntables, Primus founder Les Claypool will slap the electric bass, and Harry Cody's got the guitar and banjo. Jello Drops DK Suit
AP reports: Former Dead Kennedys lead
singer Jello Biafra has dropped his remaining lawsuit against members of
his band.
In May 2000, a jury convicted Biafra and his record label of breach of contract and fraud. In June 2003, a state appeals court upheld that decision and ordered Biafra to pay $220,000 in back royalties and other damages.
But the appeals panel reversed the lower court's decision to break up the partnership, remanding the case back to the trial court to determine whether a partnership among the band members should be dissolved and its assets sold.
On June 30, Biafra agreed "the partnership's assets would be substantially diminished" by breaking it up. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

of the genre-defining GRADE (the band that many music writers and bands
give credit to for the creation in 1995 of the screamo genre), its mastermind

new and vibrant. He connected with Chris Gray (Zyon) and wall of sound
axe-wielder Alan Nacinovic. The troupe was completed with a groove-laden
rhythm section that can shatter the bones of the Gods - Derek Petrella
on Drums and multi-instrumentalist Mike De Eyre on bass. They chose the
