Pink Bomb Scare
MTV reports: Pink fled Prague Sunday after
a bomb exploded outside the Royal Casino just hours before the singer was
scheduled to perform at the venue.
Pink had planned to vacation in the city, the capital of the Czech Republic, for a few days before traveling to Denmark for her next concert, according to The Associated Press, but changed her mind and left the city after her concert. Weiland Cleared For Tour
MTV reports: Scott Weiland got good news
on Tuesday when he appeared in a Pasadena, California, court � the judge
overseeing his probation from two felony charges of drug possession deemed
his efforts to stay clean a success and granted the singer permission to
leave the country for Velvet Revolver's European tour.
At his probation status hearing, Weiland received a certificate from Genesis, a nearby treatment facility, for completing a six-month program there. Pasadena Superior Court Commissioner Collette Serio also noted that all of Weiland's drug tests have come out negative. reports Kid Rock paid homage to retired four-star Gen. Tommy Franks Tuesday
night at Frank's book party on the deck of the aircraft carrier Intrepid.

Clash Details
Punkbands.com reports: Rolling Stone has
revealed more details on the unreleased Clash material that will be included
on London Calling: The 25th Anniversary Edition. Guitarist Mick Jones unearthed
the material last March while rummaging through some boxes in his London
home. He discovered a set of homemade recording tapes that had been missing
for twenty-five years, long rumored amongst fans who dubbed them the "The
Vanilla Tapes." They contain demo versions of fifteen songs that would
end up on the London Calling, plus six unreleased songs, including a cover
of Bob Dylan's "Man in Me." Also included are early versions of "London
Calling" (with alternate lyrics) and "Death or Glory."

Punkbands.com reports: The new Social
Distortion studio album now has a title and a release date. Sex, Love and
Rock 'n' Roll is listed for release on Tuesday, September 28th by Time
Bomb Recordings. Amazon just recently put this info online, an announcement
from the band has yet to be made. Also, KROQ is beginning to play what
appears to be the first single from the record, titled "Reach For The Sky."

Van Zant Father Dies
Pollstar reports: The Van Zant Southern
rock dynasty lost its leader the evening of August 3. Lacy Van Zant, 89
succumbed to chronic pulmonary illness.
The father of the late Ronnie Van Zant (founding member of Lynyrd Skynyrd), Johnny Van Zant of Lynyrd Skynyrd and Donnie Van Zant of 38 Special, as well as two daughters - Darlene and Marlene - Lacy was well-known as the Father of Southern Rock.

Reuters reports: Jazz singer Norah Jones'
current album "Feels Like Home" will be re-released Sept. 21 as a double-disc
package featuring three previously unreleased songs and a DVD.
The new songs are: the original "Moon Song," a cover of the Felice and Boudleaux Bryant country staple "Sleepless Nights," and "I Turned Your Picture to the Wall," penned by the grandfather of Jones' guitarist, Adam Levy. reportedly broken into on July 26th while the band was in Valencia, Spain.

BW&BK reports: According to the official
MNEMIC website, their new album, The Audio Injected Soul will feature three
dimensional sound. They are reportedly the first band in the world to use
a new technology called Binaural Techniques to record. Binaural recording
technology differs from Mono, Stereo and Surround Sound and is most often
used in video game development. The Audio Injected Soul will be released

Ball host Dee Snider has landed a new gig with VH1 Classic. Here is Blabbermouth's

metal band TWISTED SISTER, is headed back to television. This time, he
will be an on-air host on VH1 Classic, the channel now in 33 million homes

Blabbermouth reports: STRAPPING YOUNG
LAD, the brainchild of Canadian musician Devin Townsend, have completed
work on their live DVD, "For Those Aboot To Rock" [sic]. The disc reportedly
features a full set from the band's sold-out hometown show at The Commodore
Ballroom in Vancouver recorded earlier this year, plus some "hilarious"
backstage antics and video clips. A late 2004 release through Century Media

Xfm reports: Matthew Sweet plans to issue
two new CDs in the U.S. this fall. The first to drop, on Sept. 7, will
be "Living Things," which was written in one evening on a ranch in Santa
Ynez, CA, where Sweet was working with Pete Droge and Shawn Mollins on
The Thorns' 2003 release.

Doherty No Show Part II
Xfm reports: Estranged Libertine Peter
Doherty has issued an apology for his Bar Fly no-show on Monday (August
2). As previously reported on Xfm Online, the singer was due to appear
at London's Camden Barfly but due to an alleged altercation with security,
cancelled the show at the last minute.
"Pete Doherty would like to apologise to everyone who turned up to The Barfly in Camden last night (Monday the 2nd of August)," a statement to the NME reads, "Pete turned up at the venue at 11pm with his guitar tech and encountered problems at the door. A doorman refused to let the tech in and�a number of fans who had gathered at the entrance." ...
Doherty was also due to appear with friend Wolfman last night (August 3) at London's Scala. However, a packed out venue were disappointed once more by the singer's no-show. toys is releasing Pink Barbie Mirror Vision for little girls who like Barbie
cartoon videos. Dell computers is also considering releasing Mirror Vision
for there computers, the small mirrors will create more images, and will
complete the screen. This is all prelimanary and I have no real link, and
you should print it anyway, but you probably won't, but I thought you might
like to know that I am now ruling this world with Mirrors and Mirror Vision,
