Ozzy & Kelly X-mas Duet
Taking the cheese factor of dueting on a Black Sabbath classic even further, they Osbournes now seem to be marketing it as "Christmas single".

NME reports: OZZY OSBOURNE and daughter KELLY have announced final details of their joint Christmas single.

In a battle which will see the 'Prince of Darkness' take on The Darkness, Ozzy and Kelly release 'Changes' on December 8.

The single will be the first time the pair have sung together on a record.

The original version of the single appeared on 'Black Sabbath Volume 4', initially a hit for Ozzy's old band in 1972. The words have been rewritten to emulate the relationship between Kelly and Ozzy.-- Click Here for the Full Story

NME reports: DAVID BOWIE and wife IMAN have signed a deal to become the face(s) of new TOMMY HILFIGER line 'H HILFIGER'.

Something Cancelled
Virgin reports: High school rockers Something Corporate have cancelled their opening night of their headlining tour in San Diego (10/28). The cancellation came in light of the wildfires that are raging through Southern California at the moment. The band felt it best to reschedule the concert. Lead singer and pianist Andrew McMahon commented, "We didn't really feel right about putting on a show when our fans should be home with their families." The band who are using the tour to promote their new album, North, do not want to disappoint their loyal fans, and will return to San Diego on Dec 18 to make up the cancelled date. McMahon added, "We're looking forward to playing San Diego in December." The fires are the worst in a decade, destroying 800 homes, and killing 13 people. They have forced Governor Gray Davis to declare a state of emergency in San Diego, Los Angeles, Ventura and San Bernadino Counties.. -Click Here for the Full Story

Rod Stewart Spouts Off
Here is a nice frivolous story for your hump day pleasure.

Reuters reports: Rocker Rod Stewart feels he has been unfairly criticized for dating a younger woman, especially when ex-Beatle Paul McCartney (news) escaped censure despite taking a wife half his age.

Stewart, 58, told on Tuesday that the difference was that McCartney has a knighthood.

He also complained at being passed over for a Grammy award in favor of British rival Sting, calling him "Mr. Serious who helps the Indians," and nicknamed singer Elton John "Sharon."

Stewart, whose partner is 32-year-old model Penny Lancaster, was speaking ahead of next month's formal opening of London musical "Tonight's the Night," based round 22 of his chart-topping songs.

"What pisses me off is they never have a go at Paul McCartney for marrying a younger woman ... but they kill me because of Penny," he said.

McCartney, 61, is 26 years older than his wife Heather Mills, the same age difference as between Stewart and Lancaster.

"Perhaps it's because he's got a knighthood," Stewart added. "I don't know why I haven't got any honor. I do my bit for charity." . Click Here for the Full Story

Great White Drummer Ca Fire Victim
Blabbermouth reports: Former GREAT WHITE drummer Audie Desbrow lost his home in one of the most destructive and deadly wildfire outbreaks in California history, according to the Los Angeles Times. Gone in the fire was the recording studio along with hundreds of CDs, music industry awards - everything he owned.

Standing near the burned-out Del Rosa neighborhood of San Bernardino and wearing blue jeans and a black T-shirt, Desbrow, 46, summed up his losses on Sunday: "All I got's what I have on."

At least 17 deaths were blamed on the fires, 15 in Southern California and two in Mexico, as separate blazes were scattered along an arc from the suburbs northwest of Los Angeles to Ensenada, Mexico, about 60 miles south of the border. At least 1,137 homes have been destroyed in California so far.

iTunes Vs. Napster Vs. Musicmatch
So which of the online music services give you the best bang for your buck? The Wall Street Journal rated the three major services offering digital downloads and take a look at the strengths and weaknesses of both. iTunes ended up winning the vote over all but the article does a pretty good job of detailing the differences and makes for an interesting read.  - the only drawback, they did not include eMusic which is the best service out there for fans of indie music and not just major label product.  -Read the review

Tosspot Calling Metal Black*
Posted by Varg Vikernes:
Alright, who's the retard who came up with the gay headline "Death Metal Prison Break"?. Was it Keavin Wiggins? Or was it Ronald McDonald? Burzum is a Black Metal band, not a Cookie Monster Death Metal band.

Response: Opps, my bad. It should have read Big Bird Black Metal Prison Break, not to be confused with Oscar The Grouch Fuchsia Metal. Sounds like Varg here has issues with childrens characters; Ronald McDonald and the Cookie Monster. You can call me a retard all you like but you might want to have a doctor look at your Humburgler fetish.
