Sharon
Osbourne Cheated on Ozzy
Guess who has a
new book coming out? The Osbournes, that's why we are starting to get a
barrage of salacious stories about them. Seems Sharon is using the late
Randy Rhodes to stir up some juice in the book, which of course leads to
publicity. From Blabbermouth: OZZY OSBOURNE's marriage nearly collapsed
in the early 1980s after wife Sharon Osbourne cheated on him with his
band's guitarist Randy Rhoads.
The shocking revelation was made public by Sharon in the family's new tome "Ordinary People: Our Story", which charts their incredible lives through the eyes of all members of the Osbourne clan including children Aimee, Kelly and Jack. And Sharon, 51, admits that the subject of her infidelity with Rhoads who died in a plane crash in 1982 is off limits as far as her husband is concerned, because he finds the incident too painful to deal with.
Sharon writes, "When I talk about the early days of the love affair between Ozzy and me, I have to be honest it wasn't just the two of us. Randy was a vital part of the tale. When Ozzy and I weren't speaking we turned to Randy, and when we were on loving terms he was there too.
"On the road we often ended up in the back of the tour bus together, watching TV and dozing off without thinking anything of it. Not that we were having sex with each other. There was one time I was with Randy. Ozzy knows about it but has never wanted to discuss it. That's his way of dealing with it. But don't read any dissatisfaction into it. Ozzy knows the one-time occurrence was loving, not lustful. And he was just as in love with Randy as I was. He still cries when talking about Randy. So do I."Click Here for the Full Story
The most shocking moment in this tell all book comes when Ozzy has a heart to heart with Kelly and finally tells her the truth, that she can't sing.
Blink
Doesn't Like Copycats
HipOnline.com caught
up with Blink-182's Tom DeLonge for a Q&A and asked if the band felt
challenged by the imitators coming out in the wake of their success. "We
do think about that stuff. We did what we wanted to do in the past, but
now we are at a different point and can make a different record that challenges
us and might carve out a small place in music history," he said. "If anyone
likes it I don't know, but that is our goal. We followed other bands, but
I think we have our own style and bands following us don't have their own
style. They are missing that curiosity that we have. It has nothing to
do with four walls that close you in that you have to be punk rock or selling
records. We always just wanted to make music that we loved. This record
will show that.".Click

Wife Authors Book
Lisa Reed has a
new book in stores. That last name may seem familiar to you, Lisa is married
to long time (and current) Guns N' Roses keyboardist Dizzy Reed. Here is
the press release about the book:
Lisa Reed
Lisa Reed is by
vocation a sensational writer, by profession a teacher of children with
special educational needs and, through her marriage to Dizzy Reed of Guns
n' Roses, she is right at the centre of Californian rock.
A true Californian, where she still resides, Lisa is the mother of two beautiful daughters.
Sabra's Soul
From the heart of
the California rock music scene comes this story of much more than just
love and betrayal.
Does Sabra know who she is? She thinks she is a loving mother and a trusting wife, but her husband Logan, a powerful figure in rock music, seems consumed by commitments to his latest band, 23 Mystique. Sabra begins to feel that something is missing, to feel a yearning for something more. Is she too trusting and too slow to spot Logan's lapses in behaviour?
When Sabra meets the pop idol of her sub-teen daughters, things begin to change. She can't believe the attraction growing in her for this youthful figure, her junior by several years.
Lisa Reed paints a picture of virtue and vice in this tale of love, lust, betrayal and drug-induced psychosis, set amidst the glitter of the rock scene. It is not fate that leads these people on but their own actions. Can they help it and where does it lead?
Who better than Lisa Reed, with her access to the centre of rock, to weave this tense plot as it descends from the social whirl into the deadly serious. If you are a successful rock star, this is a book for you, and if not ... well, read on and dream.
Health warning: this book contains salacious sex scenes demanded by its setting.
Sabra's Soul is available in online bookstores such as www.amazon.com or direct from the publisher at www.twentyfirstcenturypublishers.com, or you may order a copy in your local bookstore by quoting ISBN number 1-904433-07-3. -Click Here for the Full Story

Beats Bizkit
Blabbermouth reports:
IRON MAIDEN's "Rainmaker" has entered Britain's singles chart at No. 13.
Meanwhile, LIMP BIZKIT's cover of THE WHO classic "Behind Blue Eyes" has
debuted at No. 18 on the same chart.
"Rainmaker", written by guitarist Dave Murray, bassist Steve Harris and vocalist Bruce Dickinson, comes off IRON MAIDEN's latest album "Dance Of Death", which has sold 95,459 copies in the U.S. since its early September release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. A video for the song, which was shot at London's Roundhouse studios in Camden, was reportedly rejected by MTV Europe after the music channel deemed the group's audience "too old," according to Dickinson.- Click Here for the Full Story
All
Roads Lead to Ramone
The Herald Sun reports:
BASEBALL great Joe Dimaggio has a highway named after him. Poet Edgar Allen
Poe has a street. And now the late punk rocker Joey Ramone has his own
place in New York.
A tiny piece of Manhattan was dedicated yesterday to the memory of The Ramones lead singer who died, aged 49, from cancer in 2001.
Joey Ramone Place is at the corner of the Bowery and Second St in New York's East Village, near the legendary CBGB club where the band once thrashed out I Wanna Be Sedated in the '70s.
The honour, traditionally reserved for more mainstream figures, recognises the cultural contribution The Ramones made to the city as some of the founding fathers of punk rock.
Last year The Ramones were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but soon afterwards another member of the original lineup, bass player Dee Dee Ramone, died of a heroin overdose aged 50.-Click Here for the Full Story

Korn
Bizkit Are Finished
MuchMusic reports:
The Korn, Limp Bizkit "Back To Basics" tour wrapped up on Friday night
in Toronto and it ended as it existed - pretty low key. The only real drama
on the jaunt was during the Limp Bizkit performance in New York City's,
Hammerstein Ballroom last week. During a performance of the new song "Eat
You Alive", Fred Durst took an unidentified flying object in the chin causing
a little cut with a lot of blood. Fred finished the show, ate dinner, then
received seven micro-stitches. One week and a tetanus shot later, the stitches
are out and Fred is fine....-Click

KISS
Extend Perpetual Farewell Tour
Blabbermouth reports:
KISS bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons has told the Associated Press that the
rockasaurus spectacle KISS/AEROSMITH tour that launched last summer is
getting near the end of its final leg, with a swing of U.S. dates including
a Dec. 18 gig at the Forum in L.A. wrapping up toward the end of December.
And then, he says, "We'll start back up in April. We will continue, however,
without AEROSMITH."
So whatever happened to KISS' much-hyped retirement from touring?
"That had to do with Ace Frehley and Peter Criss," says Gene of the bandmates who, along with Paul Stanley and himself, comprised the original KISS lineup.
"Peter is now healthy.
Ace has had a back-and-forth battle with substances, and he told me if
he didn't get off the road, he was going to kill himself," says Gene.
