Day in Pop reports: Chris Brown has announced the release of his first CD since his February altercation with then-girlfriend Rihanna. "Graffiti," the singer's third album, will be released on Dec. 15, he said via Twitter. more

Jay-Z and Alicia Keys will be performing "Empire State of Mind" on Wednesday at the new Yankee Stadium before game one of the World Series, Jay confirmed to MTV News on Monday. more

The man accused of assaulting Leona Lewis in a London branch of Waterstone's on October 14 is not fit to attend court, or so it was claimed in court on Monday. He is set to undergo further psychiatric tests, the results of which will determine how the case is handled. more

3OH!3 Starstrukk By Katy Perry

Atlantic Records reports: Check out 3OH!3's new video for Starstrukk featuring Katy Perry which premiered this morning across the MTV networks!!

"Starstrukk (Feat. Katy Perry)" can be heard in the trailer to Touchstone Pictures' upcoming romantic comedy, "When In Rome," starring Kristen Bell and Josh Duhamel.

The song will also be featured on Photo Finish Records' upcoming original motion picture soundtrack to the film, slated for release in January 2010

Oh Darling Set Sophomore Album Release

PR reports: Los Angeles-based indie pop-rock band Oh Darling will release their second disc, Oh Darling, on their own Creative Works/Oh Darling Music label on Nov. 17, 2009. The album will be available via the iTunes Music Store, Amazon, Rhapsody, Last.fm and other outlets.

Produced by Gregg Williams (Blitzen Trapper, Dandy Warhols) with additional recording by Chris Roach (451 Recording), the eponymous album is Oh Darling's follow-up to 2008's critically adored "Nice Nice." The new collection is the fullest realization yet of the quartet's inventively bouncy twist on the new-wave pop tradition, recalling influences as diverse as Talking Heads, Blondie, Metric, Kate Bush, Phoenix, Built to Spill and Eels.
"We're super-excited about it," says frontwoman Jasmine Ash of the new set, which was recorded over the last year in Los Angeles and Portland. "It's more straightforward and driving than 'Nice Nice,' and captures our live energy better. It's all come together beautifully."

Leif Vollebekk Getting Reissued

Audio Blood Media reports: Montreal singer-songwriter Leif Vollebekk signs to Nevado Records, home to top Canadian talent; Bahamas, Fox Jaws, Yukon Blonde, and The Paint Movement. Nevado Records will re-release Vollebekk's stunning debut album across Canada on January 19th, 2010 on CD and 12 inch vinyl.

The young artist has made a name for himself in Canada thanks to his organic and honest live performances. Having shared stages with Elliot Brood, Basia Bulat, and Royal Wood, it is just a short amount of time before Vollebekk is recognized as one of this countries finest exports.

Inland was recorded in Montreal's Breakglass Studios (Wolf Parade, Patrick Watson, Stars, Unicorns). A true multi-instrumentalist, Vollebekk plays guitar, harmonica, piano and violin on the album. - tour dates

Person L Announce Dates and Preorders

Nick Cave Endorsed Shilpa Ray and Her Happy Hookers To Take NYC

Housewives Dirty Dancing Coming

Residing at hot spots throughout Sweden, including residency at Fredsgatan 12 in Stockholm this past summer, they have been honored twice for "Best Club", first in People Choice Awards 2007 and next in the Scandinavian Music Convention 2008.

Besides giving the gift of music and dance, Housewives have found more ways to improve our homes. During their residency at Fredsgatan 12, the duo hosted a major charity event with the aim to build wells around the world. Beehive Set Digital Album Release

PR reports: On November 24, electro-pop outfit Beehive will see the digital release of its sophomore album titled Sun & Scream. A self-admitted fall record, Sun & Scream comes off the heels of the 2008 EP I'm Losing My Punk Rock Spirit.

The band's sole member and songwriter Zach Hinkle who's previously known for his folk-pop solo work as Cherokee (Temporary Living 2007, It's All Geographical 2008, Cherokee Covers2008) gave birth to Sun & Scream in the dark winter days of 2008 and finished the album as the snow was thawing in the spring of '09.

Recorded entirely in Hinkle's apartment, and mixed by Ryan Stanksy, Sun & Scream takes its drums and drive from the clamor of New York's subway and its melody and mournfulness from the buzz of Big City office life (Hinkle, while recording, worked full-time as an entertainment publicist). - more on this story
