. While other networks are stepping away from the half-hour sitcom, Fox has announced an autumn schedule that embraces it with nine returning comedies and two new ones. In addition, the network -- once home of ``The X-Files'' -- is staying away from the supernatural genre that, after the success of ABC's ``Lost'' this season, will pop up all over the other networks' lineups come September.
